Canflix to open Ontario warehouse

Canflix says the return envelopes will indeed be addressed to your closest warehouse, like ZIP. There is apparently some sort of routing codes on envelopes already, which may let you figure out which warehouse it was shipped from once it arrives, but apparently they didn't plan on having any indication of the origin on the website. I've suggested they look into it, as it is an annoying omission by ZIP (especially since their "ETA" estimates seem to be broken).

This is pretty exciting... I really hope this helps shipping times -- as opposed to being a marketing gimmick -- since 50% of the complaints about Canflix relate to shipping times (the other half having to do with the size of their inventory).

Does anyone know where the shipping centre is based in Ontario?

I got an email from Canflix today. The new shipping center will be in Brampton. They expect it up and running within a matter of days.

Huh, the weirdest thing... one of my return envelopes for Canflix has an address in Blairmore, AB. Usually they all go to Calgary.

I believe it was Deadwood Season One, Disc Five. It was also missing the usual Canflix sticker around the middle, and the sleeve didn't have a window.

Has anyone from Onatrio got the Ontario return address envelope yet? I registered with CanFlix again because they were opening up an Ontario warehouse and when I got my DVD's last night they still showed the Calgary address.

I think it's a little soon to expect to see the benefits of the new warehouse. I haven't heard anything new from any official channel this week, but I'm guessing they're still smoothing the wrinkles.

Couldn't wait anymore. I had to ask Canflix about the status of the new Ontario warehouse. Here is their reply:

The new warehouse started shipping movies this past Thursday. However the warehouse is not yet operating at full capacity. We are in the process of hiring additional people and ironing out the wrinkles.

We would expect that over the next couple of weeks shipments from that warehouse will become more frequent and you can expect to start
receiving movies directly from that warehouse.

I feel better now.
